Kiwanis Club of Topeka (Downtown Kiwanis)
Kiwanis Club of Topeka meets in person on the 2nd and 4th Mondays. Kiwanis is a global organization.
At our August 24th meeting, we had a nice group of members and a couple guests. Plenty of Happy Dollar$ were donated along with things to be happy about. We also had a few "K" Dollar$ for the foundation. Multiple people paid their 2026-2027 dues.
Our guest speaker was Christina Castellano from the Topeka Zoo. She talked about the recently opened Tiger Trails & Den Academy Exhibit. She also talked about the 5-year plan for the next new exhibits.
Another guest was the Kansas District of CKI Gov Ke'Ahjahnae Rice. It was nice to have her introduce herself to the club and take a picture with those that waited around. She is a former Topeka Kiwanis Foundation scholarship recipient.

On August 13, club members Paul, Robert, and Greg stopped by the The Salvation Army Topeka Kansas to give them a BIG check. In all we donated $1500.00 to them, $750 for their summer lunch program and $750 for their back-to-school backpack program.
We love donating our hard-earned funds back to our community where it really helps. We raise funds throughout the year with our pancake feed (Nov 21, 2026), our golf tournament (April 17, 2027), along with other projects. We are always looking for members to join and be involved.
Thank you, Greg, for taking the photo.
