Q: Where does my entry fee go? A: The entry fee which you pay to Kiwanis for playing in the tournament is handled as follows: Most of the entry fee goes for greens, carts, lunch and driving range fees which Kiwanis pays to the Lake Shawnee Golf Course. A portion of your fees along with our hole sponsorship money is put in our Kiwanis charities budget fund for our club to use to disperse to needy children’s programs.
Q: What are the “Special Events” for which prizes are awarded? A: Thanks to the generosity and support of numerous businesses, individual prizes will be awarded for each hole and team prizes of cash/other prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each flight. Some include “Longest Putt,” “Longest Drive,” “Closest to the Pin on 2nd Shot,” and “Closest to the Pin” (On tee shots from the par 3s). Kiwanis has sponsored a “prize on every hole” for the past several years.
