A number of our club members were able to attend the Tecumseh Kiwanis Club meeting this past Wednesday, November 13 at 6:30pm at the Tecumseh United Methodist Church. Their club president Ashli Salzaino led an enjoyable meeting with the Shawnee Heights High School Student Resource Officer (SRO) Shane Hilton as the speaker. Some of the same club members as well as others also attended the Thurday 7am Southwest Kiwanis Club meeting on November 14 hearing a presentation by the new Division 11 representative of the Kansas Kiwanis Foundation as the speaker. Our first club meeting in November was postponed from Nov 11 to Nov 18. Our meeting guests included William and Alice Bradford (Separatists/Pilgrim Reenactment) portrayed by Steve and Suzanne Germes, fellow club members. We had a packed house including a couple guests. Our regular club meeting was held on the 4th Monday of the month on October 28th.
Of course we had happy dollars, announcements, and a presentation from the Kansas Children's Discovery Center. Thank you, Dene and Kaitlin, for the information on the great stuff happening at the center.
Our next meeting would fall on November 11th, Veteran's Day. That meeting is moved to the 18th, with the 4th Monday meeting still on the 25th. ... See MoreSee Less
